Terms & Conditions


Welcome to SPLAT Nursery & Forest School. By enrolling your child with us or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Information

  • SPLAT is a private, independent nursery and forest school for children aged 0–5 years.
  • We operate 51 weeks per year (excluding Christmas closure and public holidays).
  • We do not offer term-time only places.

2. Admissions & Registration

  • All children are welcome subject to availability and suitability of our setting.
  • A completed registration form and deposit are required to secure a place.
  • Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Fees & Payments

  • Fees are payable monthly in advance by the agreed method of payment.
  • Late or missed payments may result in suspension of your child’s place.
  • Fees remain payable during absence (e.g., holidays, illness).
  • We reserve the right to adjust fees with reasonable notice.

4. Attendance & Notice

  • Parents/guardians must notify us of any absence due to illness or holidays.
  • One calendar month’s written notice is required to cancel or reduce sessions.

5. Health & Safety

  • Children who are unwell, infectious, or running a high temperature must not attend.
  • Any accidents or incidents will be recorded, and parents will be informed.
  • SPLAT maintains strict safeguarding and health & safety policies at all times.

6. Forest School & Risk Awareness

  • Outdoor learning is central to our curriculum. Children will engage in activities such as climbing, den building, and nature exploration.
  • While all reasonable safety measures are taken, parents acknowledge that these activities involve appropriate, age-related risks that support learning and development.

7. Personal Belongings

  • SPLAT cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged personal items.
  • Children should bring weather-appropriate clothing and spare items each day.

8. Termination of Place

  • SPLAT reserves the right to withdraw a child’s place if fees are unpaid, or if the child’s behaviour poses risks to themselves or others.

9. Website Use

  • All content on our website is owned by SPLAT and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
  • We aim to ensure all information is accurate but do not accept liability for external links or third-party content.

10. Amendments

  • These terms and conditions may be updated periodically. Parents will be notified of significant changes in writing.
