Parents Feedback ahead of Ofsted 2025

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our parents for the honest, open and thoughtful feedback you recently shared with us. Your words were not only incredibly motivating as we prepared for our Ofsted visit, but also deeply rewarding for our whole team. We felt it was important to share this feedback with both our current families and those considering joining us, as it truly reflects the heart of our community.

Your individual comments were exceptionally touching, and we will cherish them for a long time to come. Many of these will also be added to our website so that others can see the impact of our shared partnership. Ofsted were delighted to review your feedback and expressed how closely it aligned with what they heard during their parent discussions and what they observed throughout the inspection.

We cannot wait to share our official outcome and report with you in the coming weeks.

Summary of comments

  • Exceptional Staff and Care: The staff are described as amazing, exceptional, beyond caring, supportive, well-organised, and attentive, providing a nurturing, professional, and warm environment where children are safe, well looked after, and truly loved. They are committed to offering the very best and are highly praised for their dedication and hard work, with many children loving coming to the nursery and being reluctant to leave.
  • Child Development and Learning: Parents noted significant progress in their children’s speech, physical progression, confidence, self-advocacy, and overall development, attributing it to the nursery’s support, stimulating activities, and focus on individual needs, including support for behaviours and complex needs like hip dysplasia. The emphasis on emotional development and teaching children to understand the world is also highlighted.
  • Communication and Partnership: The nursery excels in communication, providing excellent, detailed, and regular daily updates and photos via the app, which showcase activities, explain how they contribute to learning, and offer guidance for supporting learning at home. This provides reassurance and insight, and parents feel they can always contact the team and expect a quick, informative reply. Staff also care for the whole family, reaching out during difficult times.
  • Outstanding Provision and Activities: The range of activities is described as second to none, including forest school (loved by many), BSL/sign language, Spanish, yoga, baking, woodwork, woodland walks, and special visits (e.g., fireman, animals). The food is also praised for its variety, quality, and balance.
  • Positive Culture and Community: The setting is seen as a place where children thrive and feel at home. Management and leadership are visible and involved, and the nursery fosters a great community feel through regular open days for families. Management also ensured the nursery remained open during the pandemic to maintain normality for the children, showing commitment.
